The football field or ground is one-twenty yards long and fifty-three-and-half yards wide. At every end of the ground and one-hundred yards separately are the lines of goal. The further ten yards at every end is known as end zone. The field is divided each five yards by a line called yard-line. The middle yard-line is called the 50-yard line. In similar to the sidelines are hash marks rows. The football is generally played on or between hash marks at beginning of every game. This makes sure that teams have room to line up on together sides of ball. The situation of football that describes the ball sides is known as "line of scrimmage".
